Where do I meet the guide?

For our walking tours you meet your guide at a centralized location from where you start with the walking tour. 

If you have booked a private tour and you are staying in the city center, it is also possible to have the guide pick you up from your hotel provided it is within walking distance. 

What are the group sizes?

The group sizes of our walking tours differ per city as it depends on a number of factors including city regulations. With a few exceptions the maximum group size of our public walking tours is six travelers. For private tours it is eight travelers, but we can accommodate larger groups. Detailed information about group sizes can be found on the respective description pages.

Can I change a walking tour?

Public walking tours cannot be customized as there may be other travelers participating. Therefore we stick to our itineraries. But our spontaneous guides are flexible and when they encounter something of interest that deserves attention and time allows it, they will surely go for it. If it's about the content of the tour we always do our best to cover topics that are of particular interest to you. So feel free to ask your guide! 

On the other hand, private walking tours can always be customized. Perhaps you’d like to change the timings or would you like to start or end the tour at a particular spot. When you have booked the tour with one of our resellers such as TripAdvisor (Viator) or GetYourGuide, you can fill out the contact form to let us know your interests and/or preferences. You can use your booking confirmation number so we know with how many travelers you are, for when it would be etc. Date changes and cancelations, however, are to be arranged with the seller of your booking, e.g. Viator/TripAdvisor or GetYourGuide.

How do you deal with the coronavirus?

Our walking tours take place outside unless it is stated otherwise in the tour description. We adhere to local and national regulations regarding the virus that apply at the time of the walking tour. At all times our 24-hour free cancelation policy applies. Upon cancelation we process your full refund immediately. We don't work with vouchers.

How can I book a walking tour or experience?

Below the tour description on the respective tour pages are buttons to book the tour on GetYourGuide or TripAdvisor/Viator.

Can I make a last-minute booking?

With respect to private tours we advice you to book as early as possible. With public tours it works a bit different. If a public tour is scheduled (it has been booked by other travelers) you can book the tour until the very last moment. 

What is your cancelation policy?

Our resellers, the Online Travel Agency (OTA) where you have booked your tour (TripAdvisor/Viator or GetYourGuide) handle cancelations and date changes. For all walking tours we maintain a 24-hour free cancelation policy. This means that you cancel until least 24 hours before the start of your tour.

Are your walking tours wheelchair accessible?

All our walking tours require walking, sometimes over uneven walking surfaces, including unpaved paths and cobblestones but some more than others. During the public tours we maintain a certain pace and are therefore not recommended for wheel chairs. Private tours on the other hand are tailored to the travelers' personal preferences and are accessible for wheelchairs. 

Are pets or guide dogs allowed?

We love dogs so they can surely join the private walking tours. Unfortunately they cannot participate in our public tours since other travelers may be joining and not everyone feels the same way about these hairy friends. Naturally guide or aid dogs are also allowed to join the private tours 🦮
