Where do I meet the guide?
For our walking tours you meet your guide at a centralized location from where you start with the walking tour.
If you are staying in the city center, it is also possible to have the guide pick you up from your hotel (provided it is within walking distance).
What are the group sizes?
The group sizes of our walking tours differ per city as it depends on a number of factors including city regulations. With a few exceptions the maximum group size is eight travelers. This number is excluding children under the age of twelve years, as they join for free. Detailed information about group sizes can be found on the respective description pages.
Can I customize my tour?
Absolutely. Our private walking tours are flexible by nature. Our guides are spontaneous and love to follow interesting paths when time allows — and if something sparks your curiosity, just ask!
Want to start/end at a specific location or have certain topics addressed? No problem. You can share your preferences via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp — even if you booked through a reseller like TripAdvisor (Viator) or GetYourGuide. Just include your booking confirmation number when you reach out.
Please note: for time and/or date changes or cancellations, you'll need to contact the platform where you made the booking.
What is your cancelation policy?
We offer a 24-hour free cancelation policy on all tours.
Booked via a travel platform such as TripAdvisor, Viator or GetYourGuide? Any changes or cancelations are to be arranged directly through their platforms.
Booked directly with us? Just send us an email at least 24 hours before your tour begins, and you’ll receive a full refund, processed right away.
How can I book a (last-minute) walking tour or experience?
You can book directly with us — and receive the best available rate. To check availability, just fill out the reservation form on the tour page, send us an email or a WhatsApp message. We'll get back to your shortly to confirm availability. If your preferred date is open, we'll send you a reservation with a secure payment link (powered by Stripe). Once payment is completed, your booking is confirmed.
Changed your mind? No worries — if you don't complete the payment, your reservation simply expires after two days.
Need to cancel? No problem — you'll receive a full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before the tour.
Tip: The earlier you reach out, the better the chance your preferred date and time are still available. Book now and decide later.
Note: Some tours are also available on major travel platforms, like TripAdvisor / Viator and GetYourGuide. For last-minute bookings, we recommend using one of these platforms for immediate confirmation.
Are your walking tours wheelchair accessible?
All our walking tours involve walking — sometimes over uneven surfaces like cobblestones or unpaved paths.
Most tours can be adjusted to your pace and preferences, and we do our best to accommodate wheelchairs. Just let us know in advance!
Are pets or guide dogs allowed?
We love dogs — so your furry friend is welcome on our walking tours! 🐾
For museum tours, we follow the museum’s policy. In most cases, guide and service dogs are allowed.
Do you ever cancel tours?
We only cancel in emergencies. In six years, it’s happened only a handful of times.
When something unexpected occurs, we always try to arrange a replacement guide. However, due to staff shortages in the tourism industry — especially on weekends — that’s not always possible.
If we must cancel, you’ll be notified as soon as possible. In that case, your payment will be fully refunded — no need to request it. Or help you reschedule, if you prefer.
